The building was previously occupied by Sheffield City Council Housing department and had laid empty for many years. We have spent along time refurbishing it and getting rid of the blue walls!

Union St Cowork

Union St. is a four-storey building in Sheffield city centre offering co-working space and an improved work/life balance for people developing self employment and social enterprise. The building is a meanwhile-use project set up by Felicity Hoy from Common People CIC, Matt Hill from Common Ground CIC and Steve Rimmer from CADS. The building had been left empty for over 6 years following the closure of Sheffield City Council's Housing office. All redevelopment work was done by people involved in Union St and Felicity played an integral part in the design and direction of the coworking floor. For more info visit www.Union-St.org
